I think my bike may not fit me correct, now It has been only about a 2 weeks since I bought it at my LBS, so I spoke with him and he is willing to change it for something that might fit me better. The only problem is the bike I have now is a 27 speed, and the bike that might fit me at the LBS is only a 24 speed, what do u guys think? Is it that much of a differance? for 27 to 24

A nine speed cassette only give you one more option. The high and low gears are most likely identical. The more gears you have, the more options you have in between. It's not a big deal and comfort is certainly more important.

The question I have to ask is why did the LBS sell it to you in the first place? They should have been able to provided a close enough fit that you should only have to swap out a stem or make minor adjustments to improve the fit. Having to swap the entire bike means someone wasn't looking out for you in the first place.

A "24 speed" bike, with an 8 speed cassette must be older and/or cheaper than your current bike. Your LBS is not offering you a good deal. Sounds like they are trying to palm-off whatever they have on you.

What is it about the current bike that doesn't fit right?

Maybe I'm jumping the gun here, it didn't occur to me that I can change a stem of something else to get a better fit, i think i will try that instead, it's just that i start to feel alot of discomfor in my saddle after a while of riding
