Proving that I do post thoughts of interest. Apperently this guy shares the same interest. Or could it be Ron posting under another name? I guess you will never know, but I did post that Once was pulling out about ten post ago.

The good thing about it is that by next year your Team ONCE jersey "Fred" look will be "Retro".
It looks like Eroski will step up to the plateCalmedDownRonPruitt

Looks like they won't be able to hang on to Mayo even.
I'm guessing one of the bigger teams will pick up Beloki. Maybe Cofidis or Domo?
Thoughts?
Postal for sure.the bull

Next year Lance will need all the help he can get!
Beloki rode for Euskaltel in 98/99, yet.....nucleon_d

I would love to see him rejoin if they could afford him. They have their own budget woes that may see Mayo go elsewhere. Did i see on cyclingnews that he (+Mayo) were talking to Rabobank?
Read that E-E got boosted budgetTWD

Can't remember if it was on Cyclingnews or Velonews but I read that Euskaltel-Euskadi got their budget upped to $6 Million for next year. Don't know what it was before, or how that even compares to what some of the top Div. I teams, but I doubt they could keep Mayo, Zubledia, and pick up Beloki. They've got a couple of other decent riders that probably draw some pretty good $$ like Extabarria and Laiseka.

There are a lot of Spanish riders looking for a home right now though, so I would expect if E-E does some smart shopping they should remain pretty strong for next year.

Maybe Eroski should combine forces with Euskaltel-Euskadi. How would that be for a tongue twister.....Eustaltel-Euskadi-Eroski. E-E-E.
