I'm sorry, I really think that I over reacted in the first place. I know that labeling this entire board as self-absorbed was the wrong thing to do. I don't know where this "Aaron" name came from. My name is Joe, I am 18, and I am from St. Louis MO. Contrary to seemingly popular belief, my orginal post was not done so with egocentric intentions. I was really just trying get your opinions. Nothing more.

We must be nuts.

Yeah, there's definitely something wrong with those of us who push our limits beyond reason, which is probably a good percentage of the posters on this board. We are sick, however I also believe there is something beautiful in sacrificing oneself to push the envelope on what us humans can achieve. But fundamentally, it all ties into being locked in a closet or not getting enough attention when we were children or something of this nature.
You too ?..........................................nmMR_GRUMPY

we've all had our tiffs and moments here.

When I was a newbie to the board I got ripped on a mechanical issue (my answer was indeed wrong in hindsight) but had my panties in such a bunch over the poster's abusive tone that I nearly put my tail between my legs and left. The only person that would have suffered if I had done that would have been ME.
hey, i'm still smarting from that double post i made Friday nmThe Human G-Nome

This is what it's all about Joe. Coming back around and being cool about the whole experience. Welcome. Guarenteed we all take an occasional ribbing. The key is to laugh and say...ok. I'm an ass at times. sorry. Then continue to contribute what you can and listen a great deal.

Enjoy the forum!
And just look at all the views you've gotten already...nmthatsmybush

Participating here is sort of like racing -- if you are too thin skinned you won't last long, or at least won't have a good time. You have to enjoy the pain. ;-)

Kudos to you for owning up and resolving the issue. It would have been much easier to pull an Aaron and whine like a b***h... (Check the posts from last week to figure out who Aaron is.)
