If my post doesn't get 500 views by 11am, I'm going to quit this board and never come back. Never. And when I'm gone you'll miss me and realize how important I am and you'll wish I would come back but I won't because I'm so hurt that you don't care about me anymore. I mean it too. If I don't get 300 views by 1pm I'm never coming back.

If I was the older version of myself, I would probably make a virtual pass at you, but since I am married to my beautiful wife Gayle, and I can no longer afford to be radical or she will take everything, plus the fact that I am riding with God these days, I can't do that. If Gayle ever does divorce me though, maybe we could get together.

Wow, riding with God. I'll bet traffic leaves you alone. Ever ask him, just as a joke, if he can create a constant 30 mph tailwind? Does God get flats? Where does God weigh in on frame material? Does God prefer Campy or Shimano? I'm dying to know.
does God take pulls?CalmedDownRonPruitt
Aug 4, 2003 8:50 AM
That tailwind that you experience is God's way of pulling. God is in my heart and that is what I mean about riding with God. As for the Campy or Shimano argument, well, since Heaven is made of streets of gold, my guess is that he is a Campy fans since heaven sounds like it has lots of style. What do you think?

Good thing I wasn't mountain biking at Bluff Pt. this morning. I'm right there at that time to get to work at 7:30.
But what does that have to do with me?Kristin

Actually, that's incredibly sad. I'm glad it wasn't worse, but am sad about the people who dies. Glad you're okay. I'll have to give my mom a shout later and chat about it.

The Evil Force got the better of me for a few seconds. Kristin, accept my humble apology. Your posts are a fresh breeze which ventilates the stagnant air of narcissism that dominates this board. Aug 4, 2003 7:24 AM
I seldom participate in the forum any longer as it has become sort of redundant. Anyone knows that the best answer to anyone's question is by going out and putting in a lot of miles and figuring out what works for you as most of the stuff we read is based on personal opinion. I've butted heads with Kristin way-back-when, I'm not coming to her defense but I can't see her posting a remark like this. I think we have been duped...this has to be a joke....
Aug 4, 2003 7:30 AM

This is my fifth season back to the sport and everything is finally starting to click. I found I needed to push my milelage up and I'm retired and have the time to put in the miles. If you were retired what would you do, sit in front of a computer screen or go out and ride while the weather is nice? I've learned a lot on this forum coming back to the sport, I don't know everything, but experience is the best teacher after you get your feet wet....a lot of answers are out there on the road...I don't think anyone can disgree with that....for what it's worth I had OutWest and his family stay with us for a week and we put in a couple of rides together, what a great time we do meet people on this forum, but you have to read between the lines...
Ride safe
I'm out the door for a ride, the weather dropped from 103o to 83o during the past week..

I would burn out at 8 hours a day. I can't wait to retire from the Pizza Hut though. We have a good retirement plan for managers there, so I will be able to put on some retirement miles one day.

"I am just no longer radical. I needed the calm in my life."
An analogy. You, much like my dog needed a calmer life, although both of you probably would have preferred the wilder life of chasing "bi#ches" at the time.

I'm not sure when we ever butted heads? As far as I'm concerned, you're one of the nicest people on this board--or who was on this board. Glad you get so much ride time. (For me this is a diversion at work while I'm waiting for users to figure out where the "ESC" key is on their keyboards. If I wasn't doing that, I'd be out riding too.) And yes, I was merely poking fun at all the recent clingy posts.
