Performance of Colnago CT1 B-Stay vs. old style?dawgcatchr

What is the performance differenece between the current B-stay CT1 and the older non-B-Stay version? Is the B-stay worth the extra money? I am currently riding a 2001 CT1, but the size is a little big, so I may be looking for a smaller CT1. I know where I can get a pre B-Stay model for about $800 cheaper than a current model-is having the B-stay worth $800? (I am not rich by any means, but this isn't my last $800 or anything). FWIW, I am 147 lbs, more of a ligthweight climber than power rider. I find my current CT1 to be a touch stiff at my weight-it would be a plus if the B-stay was more plush.
