Hello All,

Back from a nice trip and finally a bit rested so I thought I would share a few pics from the Journey. Along the way I missed some connections with RBR members but did manage to connect with Phillpe on Luz-Ardiden, he's as nice in person as on the board.

With so many pics I decided today to start with the Prologue equipment. The first pic is of the Photogs waiting

This one a little grainy but it is Jan's prologue machine resting against the back of the team bus

Here are the new low profile carbon rims from bontrager. Notice the "made in italy" on the tubular--Vittoria instead of Hucthinson maybe...

By the way the next set was snapped in Loudenvielle and while the Lance stalkerazzi clamored around the bus the true bike nerd in me shined through and went straight for the mechanics.

Up close and personal with the LA's DA. Rumor has it this is one of the very few sets of the final versions of the new group in current existance--who knows for sure

Close-up of Rear Der. Crashed or poor finish quality pre-production unit? According to the wrenches it's the final version

Last but not least some beauties from Credit L and a promise to bring you more in the following weeks--more bike geekdom that is.

Awesome pics!

It's nice to get the inside scoop, rather than just the usual riding pics...

Teo

I am sorry that we did not connect during the Tour. I was heading east to Toulouse on the 17th when you were heading West to Lourdes. I had thought that I might see you on Stage 12 (I was in Blaye-les-Mines for the final TT riders) or 14 (I was on the Col de Portillon), but I guess that I was not in the right place at the right time.

I enjoyed your reports on LA.com and look forward to more photos and remarks. My day on the Col de Portillon was right out of your life of the mountain essays. Keep up the good work.

P.S. Notwithstanding my being banged up from my July 3 fall before I left for France, I had a great time.
Great stuff, thanks. And more please... nmnoveread
