|I still haven't learned how to roll when falling. I put my hands out, especially in low-speed falls. Also, when it gets humid, my bare hands slip on the rubber hood covers.|

|as the other poster. If you go down you will be glad you had them. Also, my bars get drenched with sweat in the summer and are really slippery.
I wear Castelli simple gloves. The have very little padding. There are other brands out there with minimal padding. IMO they are worth wearing if only for hand protection.

wipe boogers aka snot
wipe tires while riding, to clear glass (if you rode through some)
road rash protection
comfort on handlebars
team gloves look cool too...
also my old gloves get used as sailing gloves now.....

|For some reason I am just having too much fun riding my bike with all the roadies here. I have not done one tri this year but hope to do some next year.
It is great to just ride for fun, no races this year at all, except I did bandit a 5k run earlier this year.
I guess I have found out what it is all really about, just enjoying ones self - have fun!
