Best handling tire/size for fast descents? The Don

I currently have Michelins (20s)& need new tires (clinchers). I ride my MTB a lot and live in hilly Marin Co., so I want to feel like Il Falco when descending. Any suggestions on tires/size or other factors to consider? Thanks.

I just switched from Mich to Vredestein Tri Comps. I like hard high pressue tires and you can get 10 bars out of these things.

I like Veloflex tires in the 22mm size. Compliant, grippy, handle well.

If you are talking about bombing down the road in a straight line, I'd go with anything narrow that can be pumped up really high (low rolling and air resistance). Doesn't do much good to get narrower than your rim, though.

Hey, I'm used to running 2.1 inch knobbies on my hardtail...so everything feels fast to me.
