How does Kenny Labbe stay on the Postal Team?RockyHillClimber

After many less than stellar performances, how does Kenny Labbe maintain his membership on the US Postal squad? Does this guy ever win anything? I have never seen him ride with any worthy results. Just curious as to why this guy stays on the squad when they could be developing a younger rider right now.

really a very good "amatuer" bike rider that is on Postal because in his real life he works for USPS?

If you didn't know that before, now that you do, it should pretty much answer your question.
So Kenny Labbe is a PR move?RockyHillClimber

Why did the post office feel they needed to bring one of their own into the team, when they have Lance Armstrong on the team? He portrays the team in a positive light without having to take a spot for someone more deserving.
Well, I really doubt...Dwayne Barry

they're paying him much of a salary, so it's not if he weren't on the team somebody else would be! Unless they too were willing to work for peanuts.
And what's more . . .CRM

He's one heck of nice guy. I met him at the 2002 First Union series race in Lancaster, PA where he was hanging out at the Postal pavillion and watching the race. He spent about an hour or so with me and my bike geek friends talking about bikes and racing. He was friendly, sincere and an altogether terrific ambassador for both the Postal Service and cycling in general.
He's the "worker guy" for Robbie V. .......nmMR_GRUMPY

Kenny hounded Mark Gorski for a long time to put him on the team and it's turned into a pretty good PR move. What Kenny lack in talent and fitness he makes up in pure PR. He speaks to a lot of groups about the team and USPS. He goes around the country talking to postal workers about bike racing. He's not going to win any races but everytime you see Ventura contest a field sprint it's because Kenny chased down a couple of breaks to keep it all together.

And it does pain me to see Kenny's fat butt in those Clif bar vote for your favorite domestique commercials.
