|I've been looking to replace my saddle, and the Prolink looks like a good choice. However, I have found 4 different models called "Prolink." And in many of the reviews/forums, which one they were refferring to was not mentioned.
There is the regular Prolink, with no gel, no groove, no hole.
There are 2 versions of the Trans Am model. One has a hole all the way throguh (like a Terry) and the other has a groove (like a WTB's "love channel").
And there is the one that has gel padding, instead of a groove/hole.
I am considering the last 3. So if you've used a Prolink, which one did you use specifically, and how did you like it? (Yes, I know saddle selection can vary from person to person.)

|I have the Prolink Trans Am, and I hate it. It took like 3 weeks to get adjusted correctly because of the weird shape, and it's also a very firm. I have tried the prolink with the gel, and that was much more comfortable. I know a couple other people who disliked the Trans Am as well.|

|I use the prolink transam gelflow, and I love it. it has a through-and-through cutout, and has gel around the grove. I've tried a number of saddles (terry fly was too soft, selle san marco concor lite was too narrow, flite, koobi au enduro, koobi si, avocet 02), and the prolink transam gelflow the one i like the best. i've put a couple of thousand miles on it now.
of course, everyone is different. gotta try it to know.

|Second that. I switched to a Prolink Transam Gelflow three weeks ago and so far it has been perfect for me.|

|Haven't tried the others, but I found the Prolink gel to be a perfect combination of comfort and firmness. Unfortunatly, it is a little on the heavy side, but well worth it in my opinion. And the bonus was that I bought an orange version made for Pinarello from England. They had several extra colors not available in the US.|

|i have a prolink gel and am not really happy with it. the gel pad sticks up above the rest of the seat and presses on all the wrong places. now that i have 1500 miles on the saddle it has gotten somewhat better but my next saddle will be one without any gel or cutout or anything. i do like the width of the back of this saddle thoght and the way it doesn't slope away too quickly.|| |
