Anyone out there with time on a Status Carb (carbon/steel frameset)? How was the ride? Good for lighter-weight riders looking for a smooth yet aggressive ride?

I have no experience with the Status Carb. However, I just built a Carb Level, and WOW, what a ride. It is very smooth. I was very surprised at how smooth it is for such a stiff frame. My last bike was a Merckx Team SC, and everyone has praised that bike for the smooth comfortable ride. But the Carb Level is much smoother, and quite a bit stiffer as well.

I couldn't be happier with the bike. I am sure you will be happy with the ride of the Status Carb.

I just put together a Status x- no carbon fiber stays, and it is super sweet. Sure it's light, stiff, comfortable but, more than that, it just has that lively fell and just right handling. The paint chips very easily but the status carb moved to a matte finish so it might be better? Ride hard.

I absolutely love it!! It's condiderably stiffer than my other steel bike (Viner Competition) and much lighter as well but the true joy is the plush-ness of the ride. It's an absolute dream. The paint has a matte finish and so far I've found that it doesn't chip very easy. They've dropped the price on the frame quite a bit so if you take the plunge I think you'll be very, very happy with it. If you get it post your impressions.
