Weather proofing and winterizing a bikeKristin

I bought an older steel Trek ATB which has been stripped and repainted with basic enamel spray paint. No clearcoat. I'd plan to ride it straight through the winter. What should I do to it to protect the frame/cables...well, everything. I looked online for an article about this, but couldn't find one. If you have any such links, please pass them on to me.

Framesaver inside the tubes will give it some rust proofing from rusting from the inside.

Don't have time to look right now, but if www.icebike.com is still alive, it will give you more information than you could possibly need.
