... before the UCI squashed this sort of thing, there were tons of concepts... and legitimate racers (including the now defunct Bursford)...

Man I'm all about innovative designs and new ideas (industrial design major) but it looks like they ripped up a bunch of that "trendy" furniture from the 70s (not sure if I got the era right) and welded/molded/threw together that big celeste peice of wall decoration. Did/do people actually ride these things? Do they have any kind of advantages, doesn't look like they're too incredibly light. Maybe aero? The front "fork" looks like it has a huge pocket on the front just waiting to lop off a few (10) mph.
