Cannot tell if he adds spacers during TDF, sorry. Here is a picture earlier on before the tour.

Jan didn't add any spacers to his stem. The pictures in question are of Jan riding in the tour and the other is Jan posing for the photographers during the Bianchi team presentation. This was the one after they took over from Team Coast, not the Tour presentation. They had him pose with a team bike which wasn't his. If you compare the 2 pictures you'll notice that they have different Ergo levers (Jan perfers the older ones.). Also the frames are different sizes, if you compare the length of the head tubes.

It looks like he has a 130 stem now instead of a 120 on the "show" bike.
