|Tires- good all around tires?||matttb|

|Seems like the reviews on this site are not very exhastive and I wanted to get imput on some good all around road tires. No racing going on, mostly just the 20 mile ride through the week and a 60 mile ride on the weekend. Not so much worried about cost, but if two tire are the same and one is chepper I would go for the cheaper.
Thanks for the inpute.

|TG stands for tour guard. They have a kevlar layer built into the casing for flat protection. Wire bead, but still weight like 280 grams (I've seen kevlar weigh more). I like them a lot. $20 a pop. I suppose it depends on what you use them for though. They're probably not a racing tire.

|They're light, durable, feel good and hardly cost anything.|

|Conti Sport 1000. Ride through anything and won't get cut, last 2000 miles, 15 bucks a pop at any shop. Get the 25c size as it handles and rides the best.|

|Conti Sport 1k's??? Won't get cut??? Get real! These things are probably the LEAST flat-resistant tire you can buy! And 2000 miles? No way! I wore out a set in about 600!! They are absolutely the flimsyest tire I've ever rode on! The only saving grace they have is that they grip well and ride fairly well. Other than that, forget it, unless you actually want to repair flats every other ride.|

|The ones that came stock in my Zurich didn't late long at all, and last weekened in Whistler I blew out a sidewall on the front. I replaced them with Vredesteins and so far they're fantastic. They were $45 each but I expect them to last a good long time. Check out more at http://www.vredesteinusa.com.|

|They are on sale at Supergo for $9.95. They are light(enough) at 210gm. Have a kevlar bead so they fold. I have 1200mi so far on a set on my bike now and they are solid with no problems. So for enthusiast & training these cannot be beat! At that price you could grab 10 and use them to skid to stops just 'cause they are so cheap.|| |
