|Ksyrium freewheel 'creak'||the flying bean|

|I've been delighted with my Ksyriums over the past 3 years and 9000 miles. However, I've just started hearing a creak sound when I resume pedalling after a period of free-wheeling. I am set to do Paris-Brest-Paris (1200k)soon on these wheels, and I was wondering whether I ought to do something about this freewheel 'creak' or ignore it.
It would be great to hear if anyone has experienced this and what, if anything, has happened as a result. Or what you have done to rectify it.
Thanks very much in anticipation and look forward to seeing you PBP hopefuls soon

Just take cassette off and clean up dirt and grime on the interface, lightly re-grease (I use a bit of phil wood) and re-install.
Should kill the creak.

|I have/had the exact same problem. I greased the Q/R skewer, but the creak was still there. Then, I put a few drops of oil on every spoke nipple and spoke head. Creak went away. Most wheels after time will need this.|

|It's probably the spokes, somewhat of a common problem with these wheels.|

|I've had the same issue with my wheels. A little dab of lube where the spokes go into the hub cured my noisy wheel.
