|I think there is quite an active community. Most road racing occurs nearby in rural WI. There is some crit racing of the office park variety. There is a velodrome in Blaine. Short time trials every other week. All the bases are covered.
Riding is great- the only negative is the winter... but that is what health clubs are for. There are actually some hills around Mississippi River bluffs. I don't bike out in WBL that much- other than a metric I did over the fourth that started in Shoreview and wound through WBL. There are enough relatively rural roads in WBL to make things interesting.
You are from NC? You will HATE the winters!

|Riding in Minnesota is great even though it only lasts 6-8 months. WBL is a great place to have a home base as you are riding distance from all the good rural areas and hills. You would be just 10 miles or so from the now famous 22% climb feature in the Nature Valley Stillwater Crit the last 2 years. Here is a link to the racing events this year to give you an idea what the season looks like.
|Oh yeah...good one, thanks (nm)||Scot_Gore|

|One thought is that we've had uncharacteristically mild
winters the past few years.
Last season my last ride was ten days before christmas.
The first ride of the new year was 1/1 and it was in the
mid to upper thirties.
There are a lot of resources of cyclists around here,
commuting, recreational, racing, mountain biking and
