|I've raced both. I'm a larger rider (168 pounds) and the Ksyriums didn't hold up for me. I know that people love these wheels, but having to true then twice a month was a real pain. I don't know if I just got a gimpy set or what.
I've trained and raced on Bontrager Race X-Lites for 15 months now. I've abused these on some of the worst backroads here in the backwards state of Tennessee and the wheels have absorbed all the punishment that I've given them. I have only one complaint--the aluminum cassette body is soft and the casette eventual digs into the aluminum making casette remove less than swift as a screw driver is usually required to free the casette from burrs that hold it in place. If you can live with that though, I think you'll be pleased. I had to true mine only once in 15 months.

|I also have owned both wheelsets. I weigh about 220 and the Ksyriums did not hold up. A nipple pulled through the rear wheel and twisted the wheel. Mavic was great at replacing the wheel but the new one needs trueing.
The race x lites are much smoother and faster on the road and with about 2000 mi. much more durable. I would recommend the race x lites without any reservations.
