Thinking of selling the fancy toy (abici w/record @ kyseriums) and getting a simple, used single-speed. I also still need to finish that book on grammar....

IF you've got a nice 53 toptube single-speed and You want to move up the ladder to something trick w/a 25 tooth in the back and speedplay we could trade. But I'm not on here to sell. Just sharing the possibility. There hasn't been a hill I couldn't go up or a ride I couldn't hang with on my now-gone single-speed. It was always a pleasure. Terrain is so much more interesting. Yes, done deal. You'll see me on ebay. Any advice? Any experience? How much do you guess I'll get? Enough! I must dance! Taking the ex-g/f-friend(who knows) to Ireland? She's in, I'll have the cash, places to stay. Enough fancy bike, gotta get out more.

My Lasik vision is good by the way. stary at night still. It's been about a month I think, will it get better? I'd still take it for what it is now.

a single, simple bike is the way to go, IMO. More fun things to spend money on then a pretty paintjob and some delicate components. No cares.

I thought you already had a pretty-trick FG?

I've had three single-speeds so far. All gone. Was going to get a custom but they took forever and I changed my mind. At times I'll miss the pretty paint job; but other than that, I can get a nice, light, stiff, cheapish single-speed that'll still be comprable in performance I think.
