i've read the reviews. just wondering if anyone here is riding (or has ridden) this saddle. looks wide and comfy, and i'm considering a non-brooks saddle for a new build project.

input appreciated.

TIA!

I've been riding a turbomatic 3 gel for a year, and have no real complaints other than weight. I don't know how different the 4 is though.

Rode a turbomatic for years. Started with the #2- tore it up in a crash, bought a turbo #3 - wore it out, couldn't find a turbo #4 in the color I wanted, so I opted for a flight gel. The turbo's (and my 1998 version Flite bought this year) are very comfy saddles. I put 10's of thousands of miles on turbo's and loved them. They fit my butt. 'nuff said.

I have used the Turbomatic 3 for about 8 years, it is still a great saddle. I bought a Turbomatic 3 with gel for a second bike but I don't like the gel. It does'nt seem to add any comfort and only adds weight. I got a Turbomatic Quattro about 2 years ago and it is even better than the 3. I recommend them highly.

Cheers.

I have been using Turbomatics since they came out. I don't use Gel though, just the plain black leather. There is no real differences from the original, other than rounding the edges for a cosmetic change. I went from a Flite Ti to the TM way back when and had to special order the new Quatro from one of the US distributors because the local retailers did not have access to it. I can't tell you how it compares to your present saddle though.
