I would appreciate anyones help in pricing a 1972 Gus Betat rode bike that was built in Louisana.I am buying it from a friend and would like to give him a fair price. It is all original with campy nuovo record componets. It has a cinelli bar and stem. The frame is lugged, double butted reynolds 531.I haven't seen the bike so I assume the condition is typical of a bike 30 year's old.

Thanks in advance to anyone who respond's
Assuming the condition you state, it's not worth much.Kerry Irons

Realistically, the only value in an old bike like this is as a collector's item. That means not used much and in pristine condition. There's nothing wrong with Gus Betat bikes, but it's no Cinelli or Masi. In practice, this guy should be ecstatic to get $100 for an old, used bike. Unless there's some major nostalgia involved, there's not much "value" here.
