|Question for Trek 5200 owners out there...||K_Zero|

|Does anyone know if the 5200 frame is clear coated underneath the decals? I want to take all the decals off the frame, but I wouldn't want to have the carbon fiber exposed if the frame is not coated where the stickers are.|

|If it's painted,there is paint under the decals. Duno about natural carbon and clear coat.|
|Isn't there clearcoat covering the decals??||newridr|

|I don't own one, but a guy in my club does. If the decals are under the clearcoat, you're going to have a tough time getting them off without ruining your frame.
Why not live with them??
|Hmm...well in that case I won't touch em||K_Zero|

|Isn't there a clearcoat already on the frame that covers the decals. If you try and peel them off you will certainly do damage to the frame.
That's a big price to pay for stealthiness.

|From the way the stickers look & feel, I don't think there's a clearcoat over them. But I sent an e-mail to Trek so I'll see what they say. I'll only consider taking the decals off if a) there's no clearcoat over them, and b) there is a clearcoat underneat the decals to prevent exposed carbon fiber.|
