My new ride...bestT

Picked up my new frameset last night. It's a 55cm DeRosa King, my first compact frame. I had a 2001 DeRosa Planet that broke at the carbon seatstay and got this as a warranty replacement(with an upcharge, of course). It is a work of art. I'll be building it up this weekend.

I love DeRosa's....they are truly works of art. How long is the warranty on a Derosa?

The warranty was 2 years..... but I was at about 26 months. It took 2 months of bugging Sinclair (the importer), but they finally came through. The shop I bought it from, Bicycle John's in Burbank, CA, put alot of pressure on Sinclair. I don't think DeRosa ever got involved.
I am envious. That is stark raving beautiful! (nm)onespeed

Congrats on your new baby! I've got the same bike and absolutely LOVE it and i am sure that you will as well! The semi-compact geometry provides a great ride. I also own a Trek 5500, which is a great bike in and of itself, but the King blows it away in every regard.

FYI. You should feel lucky to have a 55cm. DeRosa only made a few (a dozen or so) 55's for import into the US. Glad they did becasue i couldn't ride a 54. The story that i heard is that the Sales Manager at Sinclair wanted to ride a King, but couldn't fit on a 54 so DeRosa made a handful of 55's so he could be on one. I've had 2 friends try to order one in that size and they have been out for quite some time now.

Shoot us a ride report after you get a few miles on it.

enjoy!!!
