How is Sept. 28 for the NSA/OCE Fixte Century?MB1

Does September 28th work for you, would you like to show for the ride? Let me know.

NSA-OCE FIXTE CENTURY, starting from Nokesville Community Park. Meeting time is 7:15am for a 7:30 departure.

Here's the ride description: 50/70/105 * VA * 7:30 AM * NSA-OCE Fixte Century (With Snow Cone Option). Fairly to very flat, the last 20 miles are rolling. There are 50-, 70-, & 105-mile options. We'll be riding our track bikes, hence "NSA" = "no shifting available", and "OCE" =
"or coasting either"; but everyone and every type of bike is welcome, especially if one participates in the spirit of the ride and holds shifting and coasting to a minimum. Bonus points for single speeds. Snow Cones at the
park after the ride. (No seconds on snow cones for gear heads!) RSVP for Snow Cones. Ride leaders intend to ride a "B" pace for the full century.

We will likely lead the Georgetown 200K the next weekend. Would you like to ride this one?

Georgetown 200K starting from Francis Scott Key Park Key Bridge and M Street. Lots of hills including Sugarloaf and Catoctin Mountains and the potential of about 15 miles of dirt roads with options to avoid the dirt and short options of 100K and 100 miles. Meet at 7am, on the road by 7:15. To confirm franthis@iwon.com
This sounds interesting; where is this? (nm)onespeed

Route runs to the boundary of Quantico, down to Remington, lunch stop in Bealton, over to Casanova, back to Nokesville. About 105 miles.
Just south of Manassas, Virginia.MB1

Perhaps a 45 minute drive from Washington DC.

If you would like to make a weekend of it. I could lead a tour of DC on Sunday or we could bust out some hills if that sounds better.

September 28 is a Sunday in my calendar. So, is the fixe/SS ride on Saturday the 27th?
That is what I am asking, Saturday the 27th or Sunday the 28th.MB1

Miss M will be a lot happier about the ride if we do a long ride the day before (120 to 150 miles). If folks would rather ride on Saturday I will have to set something up for Sunday.

Pick a date.
That's what I figured ...Humma Hah

... your're just after your usual Sunday recovery spin after the long Saturday ride.
I might want to do one sooner ...Humma Hah

... if a few other riders would like to ride it at a modest pace, I need to log a pile of miles between now and Sept 5, when the Tour de Canal runs (the whole C&O Towpath in 2 days).

I should be recovered from that by 28 September, so I'll plan to ride then, also (pending changes of plans imposed by my wife).

I can't seem to get MB1 interested in the TdC, as he seems to think 2 days is an awful long time to spend on such a short ride.
The 28th might work for...biknben

I know I don't have a race that day. I'll have to check with the boss for clearance but with that much lead time I should be able to work my way out of any previous plans.

Roadtrip!!!
I sure would like to try and make it. NMbigrider
