... boy, does this report take me back to some favorite rides, and also show some of the many great places I never got around to riding in San Diego County.

Still, I'm glad Virginia is getting rain again, and won't end up looking that dry!

Nice post. If you don't mind could you post the route or email me it. I need to start putting in a couple centuries a week and I live in PQ. I figure I can ride to Moonlight then start your route. [Not sure where moonlight beach is]

Fabulous ride report. I too would be interested in the route map. Could you also email the info to me?

It sounds like there may be an opportunity to organize an unofficial century ride based on your route.

Hey, can you cc me too? I've been wondering where those roads went... mikeshawTWO@cox.net (replace the TWO with 2 to reply)

Since it is going to be in the mid-90s inland today, I AM NOT going that way! 3 hours or so up and down the coast for me today.

They have a century ride every Sunday that starts from different locations. To find out about the rides you must join their e-mail list at Topica. I don't remember the email to join but I will post it later. This group spends long time researching the routes and they are indeed great routes.

Bruno:
A pdf would be wonderful. I appreciate the email. Looks like a great route for a century. Of course only me and possibly one friend will be using it. Don't worry it wont fall into the wrong hands and all of a sudden be a "public" ride.

I wish. I mostly do long distance riding and not races. I see UCSD team members often and I know they are doing well in the local races.

That's a great route; I think I've ridden all those areas before, but not all together. I was wondering if you can email me the route slip. If not can I join your next century training ride? Please keep us advice of your great photo/century rides. (Used to live in San Diego some 15 years ago.....

Keep them coming!!!!

Maybe we passed each other. I was out on Sunday morning also. Left La Jolla at 6:15 and headed north. Only had 2 1/2 hours to ride so we just got to Solana Beach.

Great ride for you. 125 miles is awesome.
I love riding in San DiegoRich_Racer

I do something like that ride (although a little shorter) every saturday morning with the UCSD tri club. As Doug said - I love the way the terrain varies so much around here. I was going to post a similar set of pictures but you've done it now!

Happy riding!

Rich.
