would like to do both and have already begun training. most likely will do one next year and the other in 2005.

by the stats (worlds toughest century 140 miles w 14,500' climbing & death ride 129 miles w 16,000' climbing)it would seem that they are pretty close...the reason i'm asking other than just being very curious is that if one is measurably more difficult i will save that one for 2005.

responces from anyone who has done both rides very appreciated.

Don't know which is tougher, but I've heard bad things about the "World's Toughest Century".

The Death Ride is a fun, well supported event. There's a number of tougher rides in California, though, e.g., Terrible Two Double Century, Devil Mountain Double Century, Climb to Kaiser, etc.
