Is this the way it should be on the Black Pearl Carbon? It looks like fingerprints all over the frame and its not carbon layers. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I got a Black Pearl Carbon 5200 last month and mine is the same way. Don't know what it is. I just blew it off as part of the finish or something because I honestly didn't have time to really question it/send it back. I was finishing grad. school (just took comps. today!) when I got it. I'll ask my lbs guy next week and post if I find out. Anyway, repost again if you find something out. Sorry if that wasn't much help.

Thats the way it is. I had a 5200 Postal and changed it to a 5200 Black Pearl Carbon. Its ok, dont worry about it. Besides it stands out from most other bikes. I like it, and it looks as smooth as it rides.

I'm not really worried about it, just curious. I love the ride quality, I wouldn't trade it for anything. I like the Black Pearl Carbon better than the Postal finish. You don't see many of them. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it, particularly from a guy I ride with who has a Postal frame. He said he didn't like the black color until he saw mine.
