|Was just there last weekend. You can ride the main road between Aspen and Glenwood Springs, wide shoulders, fairly flat. If you want to climb, ride up to the Maroon Bells; absolutely beautiful, a must. Climb up to Snowmass ski resort or go east from Aspen and climb up to Independence Pass.
If your there longer than two days, get a map and check out some side roads between Aspen and Glenwood Springs. I've heard there is some great riding along there as well.

|Yup, Maroon Bells is one of the prettiest rides anywhere - about 16 miles up and back on silky smooth pavement. Another nice up and back ride is to the Town of Ashcroft, where the road follows a stream a good part of the way, and there's a nice spot at the end to sit on a rock and cool your tootsies in the water (about 24 miles). A good longer ride is to take the river road downvalley, wind through Basalt and Carbondale, then up to Redstone - around 100 miles roundtrip, and really scenic.
Have fun -
