How do stats on bike injuries/deaths compare with those for pedestrians, car drivers, and motor cyclists?? Anyone know or have a good link??

Girlfriend and Mum won't let me have a motor bike! But they let me bike.

All of the bicycling injury/death related stats links you could ask for: http://www.helmets.org/stats.htm

In particular, check out the FARS database, as it lets you build your own queries by selecting the specific variables that you want to examine.

Hey, guess what! You're about to get a whole bunch of new "share the road signs" in your area. If you're really lucky, you'll get a new MUT that is no safer than the roads anyway.

I live in NJ, the perpetual suburb. Around here you're in either a suburb of NYC or Philly. We had urban spawl 20 years ago. Now they are trying to develop everything that is left. The roads that were intended to handle rural traffic are now highways. County govs are broke and don't even maintain the roads. Forget about improvements. Speed limits are a joke. Stop signs might as well be yeild signs. Motorists race each other to the next traffic light. Welcome to my hell.

End of rant!!!
