Was really hoping for 1500 in June but crash on MT bike ended that hope, again the advantage of being an unemployeed bum lots and lots of time to ride, and loving it, no money, but hey there is more than money.

But I have no earthly idea. Haven't had a computer since last year and haven't really missed it. Just put one on yesterday, though, so I'll have a July report. I'm already starting to stress about becoming a computer slave again! Too bad there's not a way to turn the display off while still recording all the data. Guess that's why god made duct tape.

Don't know what my mileage was. In my case milage is pretty much a meaningless number. Too many variables. Some days I'm on the road bike on the flats in the valley (dead flat), other days I head to up into the mountains.

Then mix in the days on the mountainbike, the tandem, SS mtb, cross bike, and all of the days I'm pulling my son in the trailer (with any and all of the afore-mentioned terrain and bikes).

That's my story.

milage without elevation means littleflying
Jul 7, 2003 2:37 PM
I mean I know we all like to keep track but it has little significance without elevation changes.
A person who lives in a flat area could churn out much higher numbers than say someone who lives in the Alps.
I know I could easily ride 1000 miles down hill this month
..........lol
mileage without elevation AND temperature means littlePeterRider

I was hoping for 5000 combined miles this year, but a handful of week + long business trips have made the goal a pipe dream. I can still do it if I find serious riding time over the next few months. I won't say I'm defeated just yet.
