Bad news: this is my local ride that I did not do today and went sailing instead. I know all of them and ride with them, hold them in your thoughts and prayers.

That's terrible! Hope your buds come through this. Last week a family was hit while riding several miles from me. One of the family members was killed (not sure, but I think it was a child). Same type of driver-a diabetic amputee-they're still investigating. Quite sad.

seems that it was so bad that even CNN has a clip about the crash. Between this and the tour crash, July 6, 2003 is a black day for U.S. cycling.

Holy crap, is that Caddy actually parked on top of a bike in that first picture? Glad to here you werent involved, and my thoughts go out to your friends who were.
