|I used to live in Vancouver but no longer. Now I am in the beautiful Okanagan Valley but get to VCR pretty regularly.
I would go down to Campione cycles at Burrard and 8th, across from the Honda dealer and talk to Guiseppe, see if he knows where something like that will be going on.
Could be one of the Italian Soccer clubs up Victoria or out East Hastings may be watching. If you find something let us all know cause I will be in town during the course of the race.

|I'm now in Whistler.
Sunday mornings is a semi organized group ride (Vet Ride) which leaves at 8:00am from Ace Cycles (3155 W Broadway, 604-738-9818) in Kitsilano. If that is too early, they would have a second meeting place just over the Arthur Lange bridge in Richmond, near the big bus loop/stop in front of the hotel on the water at 9:00am.
Contact Cycling BC for more info and other rides. The Saturday morning Knight Street ride is very intense, usually consisting of lots of Cat 1, 2 and Pro racers.

|For a masters swim program, I would recommend vancouver aquatic center, or UBC, depending on where you are located.
There are lots of teams and rides arround town, and if you are interested in the cycling, running and swiming, then it sounds like you might be best suited with a triathlon group.
Email me if you want some contact info for some good groups, and let me know where you are located.

|Thanks, for the info. I currently living in 49th and Kerr Street.
I went out for a neighborhood ride. It seems my area have lot of traffic and too many stop sign. But Vancouver drivers seem to be very friendly to cyclists as far as I can tell.

|If you are at 49th and Kerr go out to Jubilee Cycles on Imperial and talk to them about group or club rides. The guy that started that store a million years ago was a former olympic and pro cyclist. The store has now got mostly MTB's but they stay in touch with what is going on in the riding scene.
They should be able to put you in touch with some good group rides, they are on Imperial out by Metrotown.
