Popping noise from Cannondale CAAD4blt01

I have a C'dal R1000 Aero and I have an aggravating popping noise on every pedal stroke. Any one have possible solutions to this noise. I can create the noise by holding the pedal and torquing the bike by pressing on the saddle. The noise is not present when standing. Please give suggestions.

what my Colnago was doing last month. Try the following: 1. Grease the seatpost and saddle rails 2. Tighten the chain ring bolts 3. Grease and tighten the cage bolts 4. Grease and tighten the pedals on the crank. If it continues it's probably in the bottom bracket where my problem was. The LBS wrench told me that it was caused by water getting in between the BB and the frame. As long as BB is ok it's a quick fix and fairly cheap ($15-25).

When you pull out the bottom bracket, make sure you clean all the treads on both the frame and BB. Then use teflon tape on the BB when installing it. Took away the noise of my BB. I could tell it was the BB because it made the exact same noise at any pressure at the exact same crank position.

I had the same problem. Needed to have the BB cups taped.
