|It was just announced that Vancouver/Whistler will host the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. I now live in Whistler but grew up in Vancouver.|

|I'm heard the news this morning and got pretty excited. Time to make reservations.
I'm headed up to Whistler this weekend (it's been over a month!), and again in a couple weeks. I'll be bringing my bike up - want to go for a ride Atombomber?

|Sunday will be the first SnowCovers' Group Road Bike Ride. Meet at the store at the Market Place (near the IGA/McDonalds) for an 8:30am departure. Don't know what route will be ridden yet. Saturday I might be playing in the Bike Park or mountain biking in Pemberton.|

|I will be spending the weekend in Squamish to attend a wedding; do you know the area well enogh to suggest any ride routes? TIA.|

|The riding around Squamish is better suited to mountain biking. Tons of trails of many different ability and fitness levels. Road riding is pretty limited to either north or south on Highway 99 (Sea to Sky Highway), but traffic can be a bit daunting. There are options on the old highway with spurs up along the Squamish River, up Paradise Valley and Alice Lake. Contact Tantalus Bike Shop or Corsa Cycles.|| |
