How can you tell if you have an English or Italian bottom bracket? I have to replace mine and I don't know which one to order - do you know? I have a year 2000 Giant TCR 1 frameset with all Dura-ace parts.

Thanks in advance,

Chris Monette

99% you have an english bottom bracket if it is a double and dura ace it is a 7700 which is 68X 109.5 Italian BB are 70X109.5 and are found mainly on bikes manfactured in italy the nice thing about Italian is if you would strip out english threads you can usually retape with italian Taps (threads) as they are larger than english threads.
