Giant vs. Specializedcollegiateryder

im heading off to school in the fall and im debating purchasing a Giant TCR 2 or an Allez Elite cro-mo (both double chainring)

i have a compact build (5'6, 148lbs) and im looking for a bike that will perform well in the races i plan to participate in at college. All input is appreciated.

if any extra info will help, ive been riding cross country for 3 years and have very good handling skills. Ive been told the aluminum Giant will accelerate and cushion me more than the specialized because of my build.

triple though and love it. Very comfortable ride, but you might want something lighter for racing. It's not heavy, but I don't think it's as light as the same bike in aluminum.
