|What I couldn't capture is how the color turns a deep purple when viewed at just the right angle.|

|Is that a head-tube in your pocket or you just happy to see me?||gregario|

|Wow, that's quite the head-tube on that frame. That's just the ticket though for getting those bars up high enough. That's probably what I would have to do if I got a custom. I'm 6'2" and all legs. Can you describe the discussion you had with Tom about the design? I was thinking that someday, probably not anytime soon though, I would investigate getting a custom from him.|

|Because my only other bike is a mountain bike, Tom just put me on his adjustable bike and had me sit in various positions, sometimes stationary, sometimes pedaling. He has an amazing eye. Caught immediately that I had broken my collarbone and was thus not quite symmetrical. He spent a good three hours fitting me. On a Saturday. He used a tape measure for some things, his eyes for others. Sort of a black science, but the result is a bike that feels so good. It's beyond my expectations. He also gave me the choice of that head-tube or a bunch of spacers. You see my decision. He also steered me away from one handlebar/stem manufacturer towards another simply because the fit would be 2 mm better.
I told him my entire reason for choosing him was I wanted a bike I would be comfortable on. Whenever I had choices, I asked him which would lead to more comfort. He and his partner, Jeff, really delivered.
