Jerseys: Club Fit vs. Different Fit?(5 posts)

Jerseys: Club Fit vs. Different Fit?globalhelipimp

I'm new to road biking, and trying to accumulate some gear. I went to velowear.com (thanks to all whom responded) and noticed different fits.

For my everyday riding, what should I get? When I ran in the past, I always preferred my running shirts to be a little smaller so everything wasn't flappin' around.

Thanks in advance.

Club fit is a typically a little larger cut. If you prefer a tighter fit so that "everthing['s not] flappin' around" then you'll want to skip the club fit.
If you have a "spare tire", club cut. 6 pack- European cut nmDave Hickey

I like the race fit but velowear doesn't sell that much in race fit anymore. I guess they read that the us was getting bigger.

I tried on the ever popular Pearl Izumi Sierra Nevada jersey and (I usually wear a large in regular T's) the large was much to big, at least for my preferences. It was pretty flappy. The medium fit pretty well, but still wasn't exceptionally tight. Then I bought a Santini at bikejerseys.com and I was also confused about the different cuts. The American, or club cut, is usually bigger and like someone else said, seems to be made for the rounder biker. The large I ordered (Santini is Italian/European cut) was just barely big enough for me, and I'm a regular bean pole. It just depends on your build.
