OK, HELP!! I got some replacement Campy brake pads as part of my mid-season tune up. Got the old one out, but I'm not having any luck putting the new ones in. I tried a little dish soap but that didn't help.

Brakes are 2002 Camp Record.

I could put the old ones back in, albeit with a fair amount of effort.

Advice?

Have you taken the pad holders off the brake? I know one of the reasons for cartridge pads is the ability to not take them off, but I find I usually need to.

I just push against the pads and holder, using the workbench. Does that make sense? I've also used drylube before (for getting screws into wood).
