yep, it was hot and hot riding on the Angeles Crest Highway on saturday. More than 100F as soon as I got out of the clouds. I rode from Pasadena to Dawson saddle and back. 107 miles and ~11,500ft of elevation gain.

The full ride report is on
http://www.vision.caltech.edu/pmoreels/AngelesCrestJun03/index.html

Below: the goal of the day: Dawson saddle, 7901ft.

Tough ride. You are fortunate to get to ride in such beautiful country. Thanks for the report.

I don't take often pictures of the bike, everybody knows what a Trek 5200 looks like... sure, mine is the best, because I've got the frame for a good price, I've put everything together including the wheels, and it rides great. But so many people have the same. Even without the decals, some people recognize it.

Here, at Red Box, 3 times the same (mine is on the right):

here, at CoolBreeze century, 4 times the same:

I recently did Mt Baldy (6345'), but sure as hell not as part of a century ride! Great Job!
Baldy is a difficult one. 2500ft in 4 miles.PeterRider

Did you go on glendora mtn road/ridge route, or the "regular road" ? The first alternative has really beautiful landscapes.

Here are some pictures of a near-century (93 miles) ride to Baldy:
