Do any of you have a link or a list of suggested reading regarding the the quest to ride the furthest in one hour? I recall reading an interesting article some years ago in a bike mag but and I have been wondering what recent attempts may have transpired??

As I recall, Chris B. had the record but was dq'd because of the bike and Tony R. may now the hour record holder??

Thanks.

I can't help you with reading, but Chris Boardman beat Merckx by a few meters a few years ago, on a UCI-approved bike.

DIdnt UCI throw out a bunch of the world records set using the Superman and other funky positions and revert it back to the old record?

Two records -- Merckx style and superman style. Only the Merckx style really counts, though.

Do a Google search for "hour record" to get more.
