My understand is that the cost to create a mold for CF bikes is extreamly expensive. Based on the small subset of cyclists that actually ride/race CX you would have to set the price extreamly high to recoup the cost of the molds.

Basically your ROI of the mold would make it cost prohibitive to develop one...

What would be the purpose of CF?? Weight or the ride? There are already almost no ATB frames in CF either...

I think most people ride carbon because they like the ride (on the road)- and the benefits of carbon won't be felt riding CF. CF is not necessarily the lightest choice of materials anyway, and in CF everything is built a bit more robustly anyway...

A number of cyclocross racers use low-end gruppos like Mirage or Sora because of low replacement cost. I can see how they'd be reluctant to race pricey CF frames.
