FIRST...I'm new to cycling
I just bought a Fuji Cross and I love it. I was wondering if there is anyone out there from Northern Virginia. I'm looking for a club or someone that that knows some good places to go and maybe even want someone to ride with.
Also I posted a few questions over the past couple of weeks and I want to say thanks for everyone that responded. Everyone's imput, help, and advice was priceless.

I'll second the recommendation. Potomac Pedalers has rides all the time and at all levels and distances. If you want a really focused racing program you should look elsewhere but from the original post I'd say this is a very good place to start.

...look up the Lardbutts. We ride most Sundays from Ft. Hunt Park. It's a small but feisty group. If you're interested, e-mail me at

Potomac Pedlers has rides all over the place. However, the great untapped area for riding in the Washington area is probably over in Southern Maryland -- check out the Oxen Hill bike club.

And kudos on the Fuji Cross. It is an excellent will now have to race it this fall!

... they meet monthly at the A-1 Cycling stores, alternating between Manassas and Herndon. They sponsor a cyclocross series.

I live in Manassas, and you're welcome to ride with me if you don't mind how SLOW I am. There are a handful of others of us scattered about the area.

Go Evo:

Though we're primarily a roadie club, we've got quite a few GOOD cyclocrossers.

If you want to meet some of us, we'll be out in force this Sunday hosting the Reston Town Center Grand Prix.
