Voler Shorts: Sizing/Comfort vs Bibs(6 posts)

Voler Shorts: Sizing/Comfort vs Bibsbent_spoke

I was thinking about picking up some Voler shorts or bibs. I'm leaning towards shorts as someone mentioned that the bibs tend to feel hotter. With the sizing, are these shorts run small or are they typical sizing? Tks

If your between sizes, get the bigger one. Maybe a whole size bigger if you'll risk a tad loose.

They have a sizing chart on their website.
I wear large Voler and large PI, but...biknben

...the Pearl Izumi shorts are a little bigger. I wouldn't say voler runs a whole size smaller but they are more snug. The voler sizing chart is right on. From that chart I went with large shorts and a medium jersey and it was perfect.

FWIW: Voler has a postage paid return policy. It makes experimenting with sizes a little easier to take.

I have about six pairs of shorts from various manufacturers, all sized Medium. I recently bought a pair of Volers in Medium and I felt like I was being stuffed into sausage casing. I had to return them for Larges.

I agree that the Voler shorts run a little snug, and I too take a large in them. But if you decide on their bibs (which I now wear almost nothing but), I find them to run truer to size, and the mediums fit me perfect. Go figure.
