ok, my training is completely crappy: 600km last week-end, no bike at all during the week, 200 miles on saturday, probably no bike at all this week...

so, I went on the Grand Tour on saturday. I took the highland route, which has about 11,000ft of climbing, and did 15:40 hours with many stops for food/water/restroom/pictures.

Below: the PCH offers great views, but between Oxnard and Malibu it is not suited at all for biking. Too much traffic , cars go fast, this is very annoying. When you go more to the North, like Hearst castle or above, there are far less cars, which make it more enjoyable.

that climb almost killed me. I believe the grade is up to 17% in some sections. Overall I had a good ride and finished in 14 hours with 12 hours of riding time.
