This bike looks like a solid option for fixed gear commuter. It's also billed as an entry-level track bike. I've read the reviews but still have a question - can this bike realistically be raced on the track? I don't currently do any track racing but I live in Northern California. I've been out to Hellyer and am interested in maybe showing up for a few of the Wed. night races.
hell yeah, it's track bike no doubtclimbo

steep angles, no brakes, yes you can race on it at Hellyer. It's prefect for all round use.
Though you'll want a brake for fixed gear commuting nmPdxMark
