I did the hundred miler and thought it was one of the best marked routes I've ever ridden. Nice folks too, but one disappointment...No Swedish Fish!

I was also there.......we started with a group of about 10 riders including a tandem. I thought it would be an enjoyable 100 miles, however, turned quickly into a hammer fest. We all followed behind the tandem which held a pace of 25-28 with a max speed of 35 mph. By the 80 mile marker, just about everyone was really hurting! Here is a piece of worthless information for the day: (averages) 19 mile rest stop= 24 mph, 38 mile rest stop= 23.6, 54 mile rest stop= 23.1, 73 mile rest stop= 23.0, 90 mile rest stop= 22.5, final 100 mile average= 22.0. We ended up finishing in 4 hours and 32 minutes. I might be alone on this thought, but this really kicked my butt!! On a enjoyable note, I brought a good friends 16 year old son with......although he was hurting, he lasted the whole ride with us.......not bad for a kid who has only ridden 600 miles this year! Time for his family to invest some cash into this youngster and keep him riding and racing! Way to go BLAINE!!!!
