|What kind of cadence do you generally ride at? I'm looking for some comparisons.
I just went for my 1st ride with a cadence sensor (Cateye Astrale) today. I knew I had a fairly quick spin, but no clue on how much or what rpm felt best. Today I probably averaged 105 +. On the hills I'd pick it up to 115 - 120. Anything below 90 and the legs started to burn. I even hit 140 + sprinting up a short hill. I guess I feel much better at higher rpms. Does it make sense to work on some low cadence drills to build up strength or lactic tolerance? (This was also my first time on the bike in 2 weeks.)

|Above that you're probably losing a lot of power. 100 is okay sometimes. 80 always feels heavy to me. I often think that I'm fatigued if I feel like I'm wanting to spin at higher cadence because it means that the big muscles are tired.|| |
