Ah... the Pogliaghi. One of the great unsung makes. My wife rode hers from the mid-eighties to the year 2000, when one of the fork tines gave up the ghost. It seemed to be a sign that the machine wanted to retire. The Poghi rode hard as a rock (Columbus SL tubes), but it could really fly. I almost bought one, too, but it was just too damn stiff for me. In the mid-nineties, my wife had CycleArt do a repaint. They did a superb job. One afternoon, we found ourselves in Milan. We searched down Pogliaghi's workshop -11 Via Cesariano. It was shuttered tight. L'Autore had gone to lunch. We still have a Pogliaghi poster in our kitchen. The Poghi itself (or what's left of it) sits on a rafter in the garage.
This is the one I was diggin on!the bull
