Thinking of starting to take creatine. Does loading on creatine monohydrate help out your atp-pc system? Will creatine help my cycling?
It's crap. Stop relying on snake potions....eat REAL FOOD! NMeschelon

this was discussed a bit in a thread called "speeding recovery" on the fitness/nutrition bulletin board. It is in the second 50 thread listings. Hopefully that will answer some questions.

I am a nutrition and exercise wellness student at Arizona State where there is a lot of working being done testing supplements. From the studies that we have been looking at the benefits of creatine are very minimal. First it has only been shown to benefit a small population, usually taller skinny guys with not a lot of fast twitch muscle fibers. Second the benefits even in that small population were marginal and really all it did was slighlty increase recovery time. This means that there is no direct performance enhancement, but instead an opportunity to train harder and more frequently. Thirdly the amount of creatine you have to consume is quite large and as you know this can be costly. With everything the data is showing right now there are probably better ways to spend your time and money. I would equate creatine to the altitude tent Lance Sleeps in, there might be some benefit seen, but only if you are the best in the world trying to shave a tenth of a second off your time.
Wouldn't help for cycling. Would help for weightlifting... (nm)kjr39

talked to lotto/domo teamdoctor a few days ago,
none of the pros in his team uses it anymore, no results.
I asked about electro-stimulation too, same answer.
